Blues & Roots 09: The Jumping Blues

Out of the Vintage Radio Vaults at Radio Free Amsterdam, this episode of Blues & Roots with John Sinclair from WWOZ-FM in New Orleans combines outtakes from two programs on August 29, 1999 and January 16, 2000 with an elongated presentation edited from the brilliant Alan Lomax production titled Blues In The Mississippi Night, recorded in the 1940s with conversations and performances by bluesmen Big Bill Broonzy, Memphis Slim and John Lee “Sonny Boy” Williamson.
