John Sinclair Radio Show 748: Things Have Changed

Episode 748 is coming from the Jerry Brock studio in uptown New Orleans where I’ve been Jerry’s guest since the Mardi Gras and just now preparing to leave for Chicago and Detroit on the Amtrak train when I get up tomorrow morning. This program marks the introduction of a new feature on the John Sinclair Radio Show in the form of a music news & interview segment to be produced for us on a regular basis by Robert Jr. Whitall and his wife & companion Sugar Mae from Big City Rhythm & Blues magazine in Detroit, starting today and running as their segments reach Radio Free Amsterdam from now on. Their first installment is an interview with the great Detroit vocalist Bettye LaVette centered on her new album of Bob Dylan songs called Things Have Changed, produced by Steve Jordan for Verve Records, surrounded on our show this week by music from Elmore James, Billy Davis, Bettye herself and her band at my 75th birthday party, plus a pair of my favorite Bob Dylan cuts and Charlie Parker with strings bringing our closing theme.
