Our final installment in our long investigation into the recordings of John Coltrane for the Atlantic and Impulse labels between 1959-66 takes us to the Penthouse club in Seattle on September 30, 1965 where the Quartet with Trane, McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones is augmented by Pharaoh Sanders on tenor saxophone and Don Garrett on bass clarinet and second bass.
