Episode 817 is coming from Radio Free Amsterdam headquarters at 55 Peterboro in Detroit’s Cass Corridor with the seventh hour in our elongated homage to the late great Mac Rebennack, better known as Dr. John, with material selected from the recording I made from the audience on my little digital recorder at the Orpheum Theater in downtown New Orleans on Saturday, June 22, edited down from the two-hour event produced and hosted by Quint Davis in Mac’s honor to a full house of invited mourners, including my granddaughter Beyonce and myself.
