Episode 944 is coming from Radio Free Amsterdam headquarters in Detroit’s Cass Corridor on New Year’s Eve 2021 as one of three special programs drafted by my pal Jules Bauduc in Louisian, better known as The Maestro, who contributed tracks for programs on Quarantine Times, Doo Wop Classics, and Harmonica Classics, which make up episodes 945, 946 and 947. This is program 945 with songs remarking the 2019-2020 Covid-19 pandemic from which so many of us sought to be protected by injections and ong eriods of physical quarantine. The Maestro has assembled cuts by Van Morrison, Dr. John, Allen Tousaaint, Merle Haggard, The Beatles, Big Joe Turner, B.B. King & Irma Thomas, Clarence Clearwater Revival, Bill Withers, Jackie DeShannon, Delbert McClinton, John Prine & Lee Ann Womack, Deacon John with Davell Crawford, Jimmy Cliff, Lee Dorsey, Louis Armstrong, and John Lennon.
