Episode 8 features music in concert by Charlie Parker and his quintets from three different venues in the early 1950s: St. Nicholas Arena in Harlem, Storyville in Boston and Massey Hall in Toronto, playing music for dancing and listening drawn from Bird’s standard repertoire of original compositions, blues & “ballads,” or standard tunes.
