
Episode 19 from 2012 presents the Complete Town Hall Concert of the Charles Mingus Orchestra recorded October 12, 1962, a set of chaotic recordings originally issued by United Artists Records late in 1962 and fully restored and digitally mastered by Blue Note Records in the 1990s. The Orchestra includes Eric Dolphy, Jaki Byard, and Dannie Richmond; plus a trumpet section with Rolf Ericson, Lonnie Hillyer, Ernie Royal, Clark Terry, Richard Williams, and Snooky Young; trombonists Eddie Bert, Jimmy Cleveland, Willie Dennis, Paul Faulise, Quentin Jackson, and Britt Woodman; plus Buddy Collette, Charlie Mariano, Charles McPherson, Zoot Sims, Pepper Adams, and Jerome Richardson in the saxophone section. Whew!
