Episode 769 is coming from the Detroit studios of Radio Free Amsterdam in the Cass Corridor with another edition of On The Road with Robert Jr. Whitall & Sugar Mae Owens of Big City Rhythm & Bues magazine, this time featuring an interview with James Partridge, producer of the revived Ann Arbor Blues Festival which takes place this month. The music for this week’s program is taken from the recordings of the 1972 Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Festival made by Atlantic Records on Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, Koko Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Sippie Wallace, Jr. Walker & The All Stars, Freddie King, and Luther Allison, plus an opening cut by Little Sonny from 1972 and a number from Full Circle by John Sinclair & His Blues Scholars with Wayne Kramer.
