Episode 774 is coming from the Detroit studios of Radio Free Amsterdam in the Cass Corridor with a program of music selected to go with our special offering for this week, a broadcast of Kokaine Karma with co-hosts Bob “Righteous” Rudnick & Dennis Frawley—quite possibly the first free-form FM show in radio history—with John Sinclair, Wayne Kramer and the MC-5 “live’ in the WFMU-FM studios at Upsula College in East Orange, New Jersey in December 1968, sent to Radio Free Amsterdam this morning by our Los Angeles correspondent, brother Michael Simmons. I’ve posted tunes by the artists cited by the Karma twins: Malcolm X, Pharaoh Sanders, the MC-5, and Archie Shepp, plus cuts by James Brown and John Coltrane in the Kokaine Karma tradition.
