Episode 785 is my annual celebration of being released from prison on December 13, 1971, after serving 29 months of a 9-1/2 to 10-year sentence for possession of two joints. This program is packed with music by Dave McMurray, Ann Sexton, Red Gravy, and a long series of selections from a great album called Funky Foundations with cuts by Wild Cherry, Earth Wind & Fire, The O’Jays, Joe Tex, Lonnie Liston Smith, Bill Withers, Labelle, Johnnie Taylor, and George Clinton & the P-Funk All Stars.
