Episode 825 is coming from Radio Free Amsterdam headquarters in Detroit’s Cass Corridor with a birthday celebration for John Coltrane, born September 23, 1926 in Hamlet, North Carolina, featuring the complete set of music from a previously unknown March 1963 session for Impulse Records now available under the title Both Directions at Once: The Lost Album and topped off by a live version of “I Want To Talk About You” from the Newport Jazz Festival in the same year.
