Episode 854 is coming at last from Radio Free Amsterdam’s Detroit headquarters at 55 Peterboro in the Cass Corridor where I’m recuperating from open heart surgery a month ago and playing the great Third Man Records box set of music from the original 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival which I missed due to being locked up in the penitentiary some 40 miles away. This is the second of two programs featuring the music from the 1969 Festival, including Otis Rush, Muddy Waters, Lightning Hopkins, Howling Wolf, T -Bone Walker, Big Mama Thornton & the Hound Doggers, and Son House.
