JOHN SINCLAIR RADIO SHOW 874 – HOW HIGH THE MOON

Episode 874 is coming once again from Radio Free Amsterdam’s Detroit headquarters in the Cass Corridor where I’m featuring an hour of music by Charlie Parker in honor of the 100th aniversary of his birth in Kansas City on August 29, 1920. Our first hour of Bird some time ago featured his early sides for Savoy and Dial Records in the mid-1940s; this week we’ll hear music recorded by Norman Granz for Bird’s releases on the Clef, Norgran, and Mercury labels in the late 1940s.
