Episode 849 is coming from Radio Free Amsterdam’s temporary Detroit headquarters in the Hartford Rehab Clinic where I’m recuperating from open heart surgery on Valentine’s Day and making a program of music by the great Detroit blueswoman Thornetta Davis interspersed with a conversation between Thornetta and Robert Jr & Sugar Mae of Big City Rhythm & Blues magazine recorded on the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise liner in the Caribbean Sea last year.
