Episode 944 is coming from Radio Free Amsterdam headquarters in Detroit’s Cass Corridor on New Year’s Eve 2021 as a breather between the 3 Xmas programs in December and the 3 special programs designed for us by my pal Jules Bauduc of southern Louisiana, better known as The Maestro, who contributed cuts for episodes on Quarantine Times, Harmonica Classics, and Doo Wop Killers which will soon appear as programs #94er5, 946, and 947. But this is #944 with cuts by Walter Noons, Eric Deaton, Ms. Lisa Simpson, a long cut by me with the Blues Scholars at the Detroit Jazz Festival in 2006, and a longer cut by the Miles Davis Quintet with John Coltrane on their first European tour in 1960.
