George Klein continues his 6-part feature on tenor saxophonist Sonny Rollins in conjunction with his upcoming appearance at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival. This is the 5th hour of the feature and focuses on Sonny’s return to activity after voluntary retirement in 1959. The focus is on the album The Bridge in 1962 and a collaboration with Coleman Hawkins. This hour also emphasizes Information about the Frog Island Music Festival going on at the very same time, including live drop-in conversations with Linda Yohn at the festival site and portions of performances happening live at that time.
