THE GROOVE YARD 180 – NICE N’ GREASY

George Klein presents the conclusion of a feature on alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson. This hour covers Donaldson’s recordings as leader on Blue Note and Argo/Cadet labels from the late 1950s to the late ’60s, as he moved toward more emphasis on rhythm and blues, with the Hammond organ becoming a prominent part of his band.
