George Klein presents the conclusion of his four-part feature on tenor saxophonist Dexter Gordon, beginning with a track from Gordon’s last Blue Note album, Gettin’ Around (1965) before relocating to Copenhagen for an extended stay at the Montmartre JazzHus. There he recorded with Kenny Drew, Neils-Henning Orsted Pederson & Alex Riehl, plus visiting alto saxophonist Jackie McLean on one cut, for Black Lion Records and Steeplechase Records.
