George Klein presents the second part of his feature on Detroit baritone saxophonist Pepper Adams with recordings from the late 1950s to the late ’60s as Adams co-leads sessions with fellow Detroiters Bernard McKinney and Donald Byrd and uses more Motor City musicians as sidemen. The closing cut is by Pepper Adams with the Charles Mingus Jazz Workshop from the Atlantic album called Moanin’.
