George Klein presents an hour of music by multi-instrumentalist Yusef Lateef, part of his series on musicians from Detroit, focusing on Yusef’s early dates as a leader starting in 1957 with recording sessions for Savoy and Prestige and bands consisting of Detroiters including Wilbur Hardin, Bernard McKinney, Curtis Fuller, Hugh Lawson, Terry Pollard, Ernie Farrow, Doug Watkins, Louis Hayes, and Oliver Jackson.
